Family will receive friends Thursday April 17, 2025 at 2:30 p.m. until time of Memorial Service at 3:00 p.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services. 

John Wesley Reese was born February 18, 1944, to the proud parents of John and Thelma (Woodard) Reese (both now deceased) in Anniston, Alabama. He was the eldest son born to this union.

Jimmy’s earlier years of his education was in Anniston, Alabama. Jimmy came to Cleveland, OH and finished his educations in the Cleveland Public School System. Jimmy graduated from Thomas Edison High School in Cleveland, OH.

John was affectionately called Jimmy by his family and friends. Jimmy enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and would always keep you laughing and joking around with you. Jimmy was the life of the party and loved to party, dance, and get on your nerves.

Years ago, Jimmy moved to Columbus, OH and adopted a family there who loved him as well.

Jimmy’s sunset was on Monday, March 31, 2025.

Jimmy is preceded in death by the love of his parents John and Thelma Reese, brothers Tyrone, Baby Boy Reese, and Charles Reese

The fond memories of John (Jimmy) will live on in the hearts of his sister Agnes Green, foster sister Pamela King, his niece Saronya Green and Michelle King, his nephew Michael King (Amber), his great nieces Ari Roberson (Elijah) and Imani Wilder and his great nephew Kohen King, special cousin Thelma Jinko, his adoptive family from Columbus, OH, daughter Latosha Hollingsworth, grandchildren Marqua, Phillicia, Phillip, great grandchild Millyon and also a very special friend for over thirty (30) years as well as his care giver for many years, Terry Goins, and a host of cousins and friends.
