Family will receive friends Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at White's Chapel. Livestream will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment Franklin Hills Memory Gardens.
Katharine Carson-Jones went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2022. She was born June 15, 1939, in Flemingsburg, Kentucky to Ruth and James Coleman. Kathi graduated from East High School and then went on to attending trade classes at Columbus State Community College. Once leaving college she pursued her career at the State Mental Institute and later she started employment with Riverside Hospital assisting in Labor & Delivery. She was so passionate in helping her community and those around her. Kathi decided to switch career paths where she became a Supervisor at Franklin County Jobs and Family Services for over 30 years. She loved and cherished her family.
Kathi was a member of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church, Sanctuary Choir, Nurses Corps, Charles Sims Sunday School Class, she also assisted her mother Ruth Coleman with many different secretarial projects and community services.
Kathi is preceded in death by parents Ruth and James Coleman, sister Sarah Watson, son Vincente' Carson Sr., grandson Rummell heller, great grandsons Stephan Carson and Jayelin Wilson.
She leaves behind to cherish her precious memory: sisters Jacqueline Stevens and Marilyn Coleman, son Lafonda (Susan) Carson, Sr., daughters Menzula (Herman) Hampton, Sr., Coreca (Philip) Hall, Monica (Robert) Lilly and Lois Carson, nieces Pamela Coleman, Ranita Brown, nephews James Coleman, Sr., and Richard Stevens, Jr., 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
