Kelvin Gerard Ransom passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio with his daughters by his side.

Kelvin fondly known as Red or Dirt by his family and friends was born on September 12, 1958. He was born to Nancie and Edward Ransom Jr. in Columbus, Ohio at University Hospital.

Kelvin was a huge sports fan, but especially loved The Ohio State Buckeyes, and was a die hard member of the Steelers Nation. Kelvin was a very loving and caring person who would do just about anything for anyone in need. He made sure to make time for his family and friends. He rarely missed a family function. The impact he had on his family will be felt for years to come. He will be loved and cherished by family and friends. 

Kelvin is proceeded in death by his father, Edward Ransom, Jr., son Korey Lamb, Brother Charles Ransom, grandparents, Natalie Ferguson Watson, Kenneth (Capitola) Straughter, Rachel Ransom and Edward (Martha) Ransom, Sr.

Kelvin is survived by his mother Nancie Ransom, Children Kennetha (Lamont) Ransom Featherstone, Kelvin Lamb, Kristi Lamb, siblings Sheila (Willie) Singleton, Karl (Etta) Ransom, Kennetha Hardin, Kraig Ransom and Kristi Stultz. Grandchildren Jasmine Featherstone, Diamond Lamb, R’Eion  Featherstone, Destany Tucker, Nevaeh Featherstone, Kaiyinn Tucker, Kayonna Tucker, Mekhi Lamb, Zion Lamb, Jeremiah Tucker, Jovanni Tucker, Mason Lamb, And great grandchildren Yamari Lewis, Jamir Lewis, many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.
