Kenneth E. Shaw

Kenneth Eugene “Kenny/Butch” Shaw was born August 12th, 1960.  God blessed him in the safe, secure and loving home of Mr. Larry E. Hinton and Mrs. Nellie M. Hinton.  He departed this life, at the age of 60 years old, to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 1st, 2020 at Ohio Health/Grant Medical Center.

Kenny was raised in Columbus, Ohio in the Southfield Community and a graduated from Marion-Franklin High School in 1979.  In high school, Kenny was an outstanding wrestler, and he also enjoyed working out and exercising. Shortly after graduation, Kenny enlisted in the U.S. Army.  Kenny was a good guy, and he never met a stranger.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his father: Larry E. Hinton, Sr.; mother: Nellie M. Hinton; Brother: Eric “Ricky” Binns; Grandmother: Glenna (Hinton) Beasley; Uncles: David Hinton (Vesta), Donald Hinton (Wendy), Keith Hinton.

Kenneth is survived by his loving family members: His only child/Son: Brandon/Felicia Shaw of Kansas City; sisters: Denise Steadman (Charles), Lillie “Elleana” Brock-Bates (Troy), Alexis E. Hinton-Greene; brothers: Larry E. Hinton, Jr., Keith A. Steward and Timothy L. Hinton (Latesha); Stepdaughters: Chanel Newsome and Shaundior Fox; Grandchildren: Rico Alexander Shaw and Araceli Shaw.

Also left behind to cherish his everlasting memories are his son’s mother Bridgette Fox of Arkansas, Danna Rogers, a true friend from beginning to end and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends. Childhood friends: Tony Roberts, Tony Shaw and Frances Williams.
