Kimberly Nicole (Utley) Hayes was born on May 8, 1977 in Centreville, Illinois to Harvey and Georgia Utley. She passed from this life at the age of 43 on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
Kim was baptized into the Body of Jesus Christ by the late Reverend Louis Williams, Jr., Pastor, and was an active member of the New Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church until early adulthood. She enjoyed participating in the church coronations, annual banquets, youth programs and the choir. She was a faithful member that continued to be of service to the church throughout her life.
Kim grew up in East St. Louis, Illinois and attended East St. Louis Senior High School. After high school, Kim moved to Columbus, Ohio where she would live, work and raise a family. Kim married David Hayes and began a family, giving birth to a son, David Jr.. Kim shares children with her former long-time partner, Michael Williams: Jaylen, Nicole, Jayla and Makia.
Kim was preceded in death by her father, Mr. Harvey C. Utley II, her sister, Ms. Darla Utley, her two sons, Jaylen Williams and David Hayes, Jr. and her daughter, Nicole Williams.
Kim is survived by her mother, Mrs. Georgia L. Utley of Belleville, Illinois, her beautiful daughters, Jayla Williams and Makia Williams both of Columbus, Ohio, her sisters, Ms. Anne J. Ross - Womack of Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Julianna M. Fontenot (Michael) of Dublin, Ohio, Mrs. Chanel N. Jones (Toby) of Burlington, New Jersey, her brothers, Mr. Drake M. Utley (Kara) of Oahu, Hawaii, Mr. Harvey C. Utley III of St. Louis, Missouri, Mr. Joseph Utley of Kansas City, Missouri and Mr. Tyrell Utley of Belleville, Illinois, her uncles, Mr. Leonard Utley (Diane) of St. Louis, Missouri, Mr. Kenneth Utley of Columbus, Georgia and Mr. James Williams of Belleville, Illinois, her aunts, Mrs. Rubbie Dunn of Belleville, Illinois and Ms. Sherley Poe of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
All of us who were blessed to know Kim knew that she was a hard worker with a kind heart, and a tender, generous spirit who poured love on her children, family and friends. We are all missing her. Every time we think of Kim, we will smile and keep her alive in our hearts.
