Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 11:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services, 867 S. James Road, Columbus, OH 43227.

Lawrence Kelly aka Scooter was born on December 26, 1989 in Columbus, Ohio.

Scooter’s education included: Stewart Elementary, Monroe Middle School and Fort Hayes High School graduation class of 2008. Scooter also had further education at Hocking College.

Scooter was groomed to be an athlete ever since a youngster. He was very decorated with championship trophies and awards for playing football, basketball and baseball.

Scooter was passionate about starting his own clothing line called Blue Star which was inspired from a spiritual journey. He also as of very recent, was passionate about starting a cleaning company which he wanted to name after his grandmother, Charlotte.

Lawrence love working and has always kept a job ever since he was a teenager. His current employment at the time of passing was with the Radial Warehouse, which he worked for well over a decade. He also had a second job as a supervisor at Goodwill.

Scooter leaves to cherish his memory: parents Regina Kelly and Maurice "Ice" Bailey; grandparents Grandma Charlotte, Grandpa Benny, Grandma J and Grandpa Bailey; sisters Latoya and Brea; brother Malik "Butter"; mother of his children Markisha and three sons (Boston, Lawrence Jr. and London, two bonus daughters Diane & Honesty); many aunts, uncles, nieces and a nephew and a host of cousins and friends.

Scooter would not want us to be sad about his departure. Instead, he would want us to be about Family, Love and to know that he is still with us, just not in physical form, but as a free Spirit.
