Family will receive friends on Thursday, July 25, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Church of Christ of the Apostolic Faith, 1200 Brentnell Avenue, Columbus, OH 43219. Interment: Evergreen Burial Park
Leroy Sills was born September 12, 1943 in Atmore, Alabama to Lureatha Sills and Crimpton Singleton. He completed his high school education in Atmore, and he joined the US Army and became a military police officer. He had the opportunity to go to Paris, and often spoke of how beautiful it was.
After the military service, he moved to Columbus, Ohio, went to The Ohio State School of Barbering, and made it his profession. There, he met Mary Waderker In June 1972 and they married in November 1972.
In the 2000s, he retired from the US Postal Service to relax, enjoy life and create memories with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Mary, daughters Teresa Gee, Alisa Anderson, Andrea Waderker, nine grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. He has proceeded in death by his daughter Tracy Chandler.
He enjoyed watching sports, and political affair on TV. He also enjoyed cooking, making tea, and spending quality time with his family.
He excepted Jesus as Lord and savior in 1985 at Southeast apostolic missionary church
He will be sadly missed by all that loved him.
