Beginning Life

Linda Shirle Amison was born August 7th, 1967, in Beckley, West Virginia. Linda attended Woodrow Wilson High School and two years of college in Columbus, Ohio. Linda was a loving mother of three children and grandmother of six grandchildren: Sylara Moore, Lylena Moore, Gregory Jackson, Nynaya Moore, Dutchess Jackson, and Rynera Moore. Linda attended the United Apostolic Faith church, and at the age of 12, she chose God to be a part of her life.

Things She Enjoyed Doing

Linda moved to Columbus, Ohio, and resided there for 36 years. If anybody knew Linda, you could come to her for any advice, and she could lead a village to God with her words of wisdom. Linda taught Sunday School and attended Bible Study with her friend, who did everything with Nikki Palmer. She loved singing in the choir and taught children's choir at Brentnell Church of Christ Apostolic Faith in Columbus, Ohio. Linda put her soul and love into cooking. Her favorite things were blackberry pie, banana pudding, and peach cobbler; her food was so good it would make you umm um um melt in your mouth! Linda loved watching Hallmark channel, House Hunters, and romantic movies. Her favorite things were family night and prayer night.

Linda's Influence and contribution

Linda looks up to her spiritual father, Elder Frankie Morris, Bishop Timothy Schofield. Her cousin Shirl Wright was a second mother. A special Aunt she looked up to was Sis Jwanita Haskins. Lisa Saunder was Linda's favorite cousin; they did everything together. Special Cousins include Aneesah First Lady Lolita Schofield and "Evang" Bernice Morris. Linda's Best Friends were Tanya, Toronia James, Nikkie Plamer, Donna, Georgia Freeman, Tijuana Roman, Tanisha Jackson, Carmen Harris, and Lanee Slaughter. Her favorite Uncle and Aunty, Bonnie Hayes and Kenneth Hayes, were Linda's soldiers when she needed someone to depend on for anything.

Linda contributed to God, her church, and the neighborhood; she never cared what you did in your past and who you were; she never judged you. She truly LOVED anyone and everybody. Linda was like a mother to everyone. As long as she had a home, she had a place for everyone to come, friends and family could stay with Linda.

She is preceded in death by her Grandmother "Evang" Pauline Haskins and Elder John Henry Haskins's aunt Pauline Staples.
