Life Reflections

Lois Ann Foster Age 84 was born on July 7, 1939, in Columbus, Ohio.  She was called to glory on Tuesday July 2, 2024, peacefully at her residence.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Manuel and Laura Ingram, brothers; Rudolph, Irven, and Norman, Sisters; Imogene and Rose.

She is a 1957 graduate of the illustrious East High School.  Over the years Lois was a member of Mt Olivet Baptist Church where she sang in the Edwin Day Choir.  Later became a member of Rhema Christian Center to eventually circle back home to Mt. Olivet and enjoyed watching services faithfully online and receiving communion from Deacon Ralph Gartner.

She worked and retired from AEP and at one time she and her sisters all worked in bustling downtown Columbus. One sister of Huntington (Wanda), and the other two sisters (Imogene and Rose) at the State of Ohio.

Lois Ann was a woman full of the love of God, love of family and her rich heritage, which is evidenced through her collection of African art, masks, fabrics, pictures, statues, figurines, dolls, and books.  She often reflected on her dream trip to Cairo, Egypt where she crawled through the pyramids, visited tombs and sacred places, touched and spent time with our rich history and riding down the Nile River.  She said, “It was a dream come true for me.  It has opened my mind and understanding.  A trip that all my people should take.”

Lois Ann was creative.  She was a Quilter for Christ quilt group and made beautiful African and various themed quilts.  One being displayed at the Kelton House.  She sewed, baked, an avid reader, and studied the word.  She shared her knowledge and wisdom with love, compassion, authority, truthfulness and power.  She was an encourager, deliverer of positivity, strength, dignity, and grace.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: Myron, Lisa, Marlon, and Sherri.  Her sister Wanda Ingram.  Grandchildren; William, Weslee, Marlon, and Myles.  Great grandchildren; Maverick, Rian, and Malone.
