Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church, 461 St. Clair Avenue, Columbus, OH 43203. Entombment: Greenlawn Cemetery.

Lorraine Collier, Age 89, departed her life Thursday February 1, 2024, following a long illness.

She was born February 15, 1934, in Lexington, Kentucky to George Thomas and Elegetha Currington.

Lorraine was employed at Grant Hospital for 45 years as a pharmacy secretary until she retired. She graduated from West High School and studied at Ohio State University. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Lorraine affectionately known as “Sweet Lorraine” had a passion for captioning memories on her Polaroid camera, playing her piano, making scrapbooks and doing crossword puzzles.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George Thomas and Elgetha Currington, Son Leslie Collier and longtime partner Harvey Evans.

She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters DeMaria Harris and Deborah Sneed; two sons Mark Collier, and Brian Collier; twelve grandchildren Dawn (Juan) Smith, Adrian Collier, Tawanna Johnson, Charmaine Sneed, Robert Sneed Jr, Chantele Harris, Ebony Collier, Foxi Carter, Deshawn Goodwin, Donmicko Cooper, Tyson Terrell and Tricia (Jamie) Wood; 16 great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; a host of bonus nephews and nieces, cousins, friends, and family.
