Marcella Norah Obituary

Calling hours (only 10 at a time) will be Friday, November 6, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at White's Chapel. Private family service (maximum 75) Saturday, November 7, 2020 at 9:30 a.m. at New Covenant Believers' Church, 3400 Kohr Blvd, Columbus, OH 43224. Interment Union Cemetery. 

Marcella Laverne Norah age 49 departed this life on October 27, 2020 after her faith filled battle with cancer surrounded by loving family and friends.

Born July 27, 1971 in Columbus, Ohio to the Late Michael Miller and Debra Norah.

Marcella was a graduate of Mifflin Sr High School class of 1990 and attended The Ohio State School of Cosmetology.

She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul and never once lost her faith throughout her battle with cancer. Marcie was very active in her church and volunteered whenever needed. Family was very important to her and she was instrumental in the lives of her children as well as all her nieces and nephews; Harleigh Russell; Joh'tai Mcgill- Norah: Essence Norah; Tylib Jones; Josiah Norah; Jaden Norah; Joelle Norah.

Marcie, as she preferred to be called had a smile that would light up the room and although she was small in size she had a huge appetite. She loved eating crab legs, Jazz and wine tasting. She was an all-around sports fan with The Buckeyes; Saints and Cleveland Cavaliers being her favorites.

She was very detailed and organized in everything she did, she even color coordinated her closet; Marcie being the Diva she was always dressed from head to toe. Marcella was employed at YMCA as a housing resource specialist and was previously employed at Columbus Urban League. She was very devoted and passionate about the homeless. 

She is preceded in death by her father Michael Miller sister Adrienne Denise Norah; Uncle Harold Knaff; Maternal Grandparents Mitchell and Nannie Lou Norah; Great Grandparents James and Etta Mae Knaff; Great Aunts Eva Gammon; Estella Onyx; Bernice Huntley; Mary Calloway and Laconia Smith; Great Uncles Alfonzo Knaff; John Ed Knaff; Melvin Knaff and James Knaff; She leaves to cherish her memory sons Armon Jones and Esmond Griffin; Mother Debra Norah; Sister Khyia Beatty; Brothers John Norah; Juwan (Natisha)Norah; Aunt Sandra Norah; Uncles; Mitchell (Deborah) Norah; Kenneth Norah; Tony Norah; William Norah: Bonus Dad John Talley; Bonus Mom Toni (Kelley) Thornton; Bonus Sisters Monique Miller; Consuela Hairston ;Yolanda Coat(Sanders); Sandy Coats (Sanders); Glenda Coats(Sanders); Jodi Herman; Staci Andrews:  Bonus Aunts Toy (Nigel) Turpin; Candi Bowers; Beverly Anderson and Zola Scott; Goddaughter Conswella Anderson and a host of cousins family and friends.
