Celebration of Life will take place on Friday, April 24, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Greater Glory Empowerment Temple, 52 Reeb Avenue, Columbus, OH 43207.

Melanie Yvette Cobb was born in Columbus, Ohio September 18, 1966 to Marla Caslin and Geoffrey Neely. She grew up in church going to Pool Of Bethesda with her grandmother, then later on attending New Birth Christian Ministries. Melanie was educated in Columbus Public school systems, where she graduated from Mifflin high school, and then attended a two-year college. Melane married Eugene Cobb and raised four children from this union. She embraced life and traveled the world! Bringing so much laughter to everyone, her personality and laugh was contagious. Melanie had a huge heart and never met a stranger. Big energy and always spreading positivity, She was loved by everyone. Melanie was formerly employed at Merck Medco for over 25 years as a Corporate Traveling Trainer.

Proceeded in death by her great grandmother Cora(mam-maw)King, grandfather Ralph Cauthon Jr., grandmother Margarett Barron(James), her father Geoffrey Neely, her aunt Lisa Barron and her brother Vernon Cauthon. Those left to cherish her memories are her mother Marla Caslin; Children are Marquis Cauthon(Savan), Tiona Cobb, Jasmine Cobb, Christian Tucker, and the Father of her children, Eugene Cobb. Sister, Tiffani Cauthon. Brothers, Nassir Cauthon, Kerry Stringer, Kevin Stringer, Marcus Smith, Tracey Neely, Eric Neely. 8 Grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousin’s, uncles, aunts, other relatives and lots of close friends.
