Michael Leon Jacobs, affectionately known as “Jake”, 65, received his wings on December 14, 2023, after a long battle with heart and health issues.

Mike was born on December 28, 1957, to Augustine & Johnny Will Jacobs in Columbus, OH. After graduating from West high school in 1977, Mike landed his first job at Big Bear, where he worked for many years until he retired.  In 1997, Mike met Tammy, and they wed on March 6, 1999, going on to have a beautiful life shared with many memories of laughter and fun.

Mike was a hardworking man dedicated to his family, everything he did was for them. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often showed through his many acts of kindness and the time he took each and every day to stay connected to his loved ones. Mike was unendingly proud of his children, and grandkids and always tried his best to support them by attending sporting events, school activities, and various family vacations and functions throughout the years.

Mike was also a passionate music lover and could often be found dancing, singing, or making home videos showing off his multiple talents and hosting talent shows with his family.  When Mike wasn’t at home, he could be found doing various jobs or helping loved ones with whatever was needed at the time.

Anyone who knew Mike knew that he was the most loving father, husband, grandfather, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend a family could ask for.
