Family will receive friends Monday February 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church, 1400 Zettler Rd. Columbus, OH 43227. 

Michael Lamont Ware was reunited with his parents and siblings on February 7, 2025. He was born August 7, 1951 in Columbus, Ohio to Ruby Neill and Wilbur L. Ware. Michael was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Neil (Johnson) Boyd. Father Wilbur L. Ware, Sr., brothers Wilbur and Rodney Ware and Sister Joyce Ann (Ware) Moore.

Michael lovingly known amongst coworkers as “briefcase Mike” for his sharp wardrobe and signature briefcase was a graduate of East High School. He completed his undergraduate studies at Wittenberg University, majoring in political science; and his Juris Doctorate from THE Ohio State University.

Michael was an accountant at the Department of Defense, where he met the love his love, Angela Evans, over 30 years ago. After retiring, Michael enjoyed relaxing and traveling with Angela and their children Jonathan and Angelique. He loved cruising and the family enjoyed their last family cruise in June 2023.

Michael was a kind and caring man that never hesitated to help anyone in need. Although, truly an introvert, Michael had a way with words and both his presence and opinion was felt in a larger than life way. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his family - Angela, Jonathan, Angelique, and a host of “bonus kids” through his children’s friends who lovingly called him Dad Michael. Additionally, his oldest son, Michael V. Ware, his sisters, Bonnie R. (Boyd) Pimento, Deborah L. Boyd and Terri D. Boyd and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and friends mourn his loss.

The Evans-Ware family appreciates all the love and support they have received during this time. They ask you to continue to keep them lifted in prayer.
