Michelle (Shelby) Denise Scott was born on May 19, 1969, in Easton, Pennsylvania, to the late Gloria T. Brown and Michael Queen. She was educated in the Easton Area School District and began her career in healthcare at an early age as an STNA. She devoted her life to caring for others and was recognized as one of the best in her field. She married Duane Scott and was blessed with two daughters whom she loved dearly, and later with two treasured grandsons.
Shelby later relocated to Columbus, Ohio, with her daughters, Nichole and Davasia, where she continued her work in healthcare. She was baptized and received the precious gift of the Holy Ghost in the 1990s at Deliverance Church of God Apostolic under the leadership of the late Bishop Henry A. Page and later in life became a member of The Greater Bethlehem Temple Church of the Apostolic Faith under Bishop David E. Norman.
She was hardworking, loving, and kind. She had a smile that could light up any room and always carried a song in her heart. She touched countless lives, playing many roles to those she encountered. She loved to dance, make others laugh during difficult times, and create lasting memories with her family. She was deeply dedicated to her career and always encouraged others to keep going, no matter the circumstances, firmly believing in TRUSTING GOD ALWAYS
She was preceded in death by her mother, Gloria T. Brown; her father, Michael Queen; and her brother, Kenneth “Speedy” Brown.
Shelby leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Nichole Scott and Davasia Scott; two grandsons, Kentreil Franks and Davion Smith; two sisters, Becky (Terrell) Davis and Sabrina McNeil; special cousins, Crystal (Kenny) Banks, Vanessa Tyree, and Lohwann Grays; dear friends, Steve Brown, Reatha Freeman, Diane Benson, and Dreama Smith-Richardson; cherished aunts, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and loved ones.
She was truly a powerhouse and will be deeply and forever missed.
