Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services, 867 S. James Road, Columbus, OH 43227.

MILLICENT JANET BISHOP (WOODS), was born April 14, 1942 in Greshamville, Georgia, the baby girl of Samuel and Elizabeth (Jackson) Bishop.   Millicent had a passionate and caring heart for all and especially her family.  She departed this life at Mount Carmel East Hospital Friday, August 9, 2024.

Millicent moved with her mother to Boston, Massachusetts where they lived for a while before finally settling in Columbus, Ohio. Because of her big heart for people, she worked much of her life as a caregiver for others.  She gave her life to Christ and lived dedicated to the Lord.  You could always find her praying, talking about the Lord, or reading her Bible.  Millicent never met a stranger, she would strike up a conversation and immediately have a new friend.

Millicent is predeceased by her parents Samuel and Elizabeth; all her siblings, Adele, Edward, Tom, James, John, Clarence, Mattie, Gertrude, Ann, Samuel, and Seaborn.

She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Derek Bishop, Christopher Woods, and Joseph Woods; her grandchildren, Christopher Woods, Jr., Alexious (Benicio) Thomas, Joshua Bishop, Joseph (Jr) Sudderth, and Noah Woods; great grandchildren, Mauricio, Brooklyn, Aleah, Wynter and Pharoah; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
