Miriam Wade Obituary

Miriam N. Wade, age 47, departed this life September 6, 2021. Family will receive friends Friday, September 17, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. at Living Waters Christian Fellowship (mask are required), 1824 Cleveland Avenue, Cols, OH 43211. Interment Union Cemetery.  Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during this time.

Miriam Nicole “Nikki” Wade was born on Friday, August 16, 1974 to Karen Wade and Ronald Martin in Columbus, Ohio. Nikki gave her life to Christ at a early age while attending Liberty Temple Church of Columbus, Ohio. Nikki was preceded in death by her great-grandmothers Susie Breckenridge, and Jessie Montgomery; grandparents, Charles E. wade and Rev. William T. and Margearette Martin; Charles H. Jordan, Sr.

Nikki graduated from Independence High School in 1992. She attended The Ohio State School of Cosmetology and worked numerous jobs in Columbus, Ohio. She did her best work as a Health Aide at iCare Health Services. Nikki was well-liked and appreciated by all of her clients.

Nikki loved being a mother and Maw-maw to her children and grandchildren, as well as to other family and friends. Her house was the “go-to” house, no matter where she lived. Nikki was well-known for accepting those who needed housing, food, or just friendship. Nikki was a protector because she was never scared of anything or anyone!

Nikki never met a stranger and was always the life of the party… she loved to dance, rap, and karaoke. She was known or her crazy LAUGH and her million-dollar SMILE.

Nikki leaves to cherish her memory, her parents Charles and Karen Jordan and Ronald Martin. Her children: Aaron, Briana, Brandon, Charles Wade, Malique Simmons; 17 grandchildren; grandmothers, Edith B. Wade and Bertha Jordan; Sisters: Felicia (Robert) Blackenberry, Kaneka Jordan; Brothers: Daryl (Akilah) Wade, Charles Wade, Christin Wade; Aunt, Shelia Palmer; Uncle, Steven (Linda) Wade; Hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
