Natalie Holland Obituary

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at New Salem Baptist Church 2956 Cleveland Ave, Columbus, OH 43224.

Natalie Louise "Nat Queen Col" Holland, 51, was called home on Sunday, November 19, 2023 surrounded by her loving mother and children, Asha, Asia, and Ashona. She was born in Columbus, Ohio to Yvonne Holland and Keith Frazier.

Life for Natalie was good growing up with her mother and grandmother, Louise Holland. At an early age, Natalie professed her faith in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She attended and was baptized at New Salem, where she was involved in the Youth Choir. As an adult, Natalie stayed faithful to New Salem and remained a member.

As a toddler, Natalie was in the beauty salon with her mother, where she quickly learned the environment, creating her lively social skills and her magnetic way to connect with people was developed. Throughout her child ud, "Clad ed biskell loved playing with Barbie dolls, where she created unique hairstyles to complement Barbie's wardrobe. She graduated from Columbus Alternative High School. After high school, Natalie went to Wiley College in Marshall Texas. During her time at Wiley, Natalie met Jimmy Dotty. Shortly after they met, they introduced her first child, Asha. She moved back to Columbus, Ohio to finish her education at the Ohio State School of Cosmetology. She then pursued her career as a beautician becoming one of Columbus' finest.

Natalie also gave birth to two additional daughters, Asia and Ashona during her busy career at the salon working timeless hours creating styles. The girls often had their blankets sitting under the dryers as she finished her work day of 8-10 hours, sometimes 12 to 15 hours - especially when working on extravagant competitions. Even though she worked long hours, she still was an amazing mother and strived to provide her girls whatever they needed.

Natalie took Columbus by storm with her futuristic hairstyles. She was involved in various hair shows: Milky Way, Bronner Brothers, Hair Wars, TNT, and Proud Lady of Chicago/Cincinnati to name a few. Natalie's relaxed wit, scissor-sharp styles, and a long list of clients who helped her explore her creativity and put her on top of "The Hairstylist List". She also opened and managed salons throughout Columbus. Natalie later decided that teaching was also a passion and made a pivot in the hair industry to become a hair school instructor. Her other gifts led her to being an outstanding wedding coordinator and baby shower host. She even created a haunted house in the garage (lol) - putting her creative hands to use!

Natalie's doors were always open. She would try to take care of everyone around her from her peers to her children's friends and maybe even the Livingston walkers! Her house was the house to be at either during cookouts, holidays or any special occasions. She was genuinely a host at heart. If you ever have been to "Camp Sheridan or Healy" - You Know! Especially being the only child, she loved to be surrounded by people she loved.

Preceded in death are her father, Keith Frazier and Grandmother, Louise Holland Natalie leaves behind a number of people that love her and will cherish her memories, her loving Mother, Yvonne Holland Newell (Joe), devoted daughters Asha, Asia, Ashona Holland, Brother Tyrone Frazier (Twanda) Frazier, Grandchildren Caison Holland, Timothy & Jakobe Jeffers, Elizabeth Louise, Aunt Sherry, Uncle Rennie Holland, Terrance Seals and extended family, Rilynda Griffin.
