Family will receive friends Saturday November 22, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services, 867 S. James Rd. Columbus, OH 43227. 

Nevada Tatum, affectionately known as Granny Coco or Granny for short, was born on April 23, 1936 to James Henry and Mattie Bell Carroll. She departed this life on November 9, 2025, at the beautiful age of 89. She was born and raised in Mercer, TN, where she attended Denmark High School. Shortly after graduating, she started a family, having 4 children, whom she raised with a stern, guiding love.

Granny loved gardening, you would often find her enjoying tending to her vegetables; she also enjoyed going to the casino's, listening to BB King, Jackie Wilson and Odis Redding, just to name a few; and her most recent favorite past time found her watching The Voice, where she got a kick out of watching Blake Shelton and Adam Levine.

Granny Coco was preceded in death by her parents: James Henry & Mattie Bell Carroll; her siblings Augustine (Johnnie Will) Jacobs; Roosevelt Carrol; Louise Reid and her loving nephew Michael Jacobs. 

Granny was well loved and she leaves behind to cherish her memory: her children Phillip (Marilyn) Carroll; Loretta (Robert Springfield) Tatum; Maria ( Brad) Cheney; & Lorenzo (Christine) Tatum Jr. Her siblings: Bernice (Lawrence) Williamson; James Howard (Eva) Carrol; Odell (Ella Mae ) Carrol; Elizabeth ( Amon) Batchler; Shirley Jean (Wille T) Hines,  Rebecca (Hymes) Greer and Billie Jo Carroll, and her grandchildren: Jayla Harris; Syreeta (Ganz) Skipper; Timekia Tatum; Quanita Sheridan; Peter (DeLisa) Ferguson; Tyrone (Jennifer Lassel) Tatum & Briena Hollis,15 great grandchildren and 5 great -great grandchildren - ALL of whom she loved dearly, along with her cousin Anthony Tyson.
