Glenn R Rollins, age 90, peacefully passed away at home during his sleep on November 16th, 2020. Glenn was born on June 6,1930 in Akron, Ohio and predeceased by his father, Glenn F. Rollins (stepmother Jesse Rollins).
Glenn enlisted into the United States Air Force and served in two wars: Korean and Vietnam. After 25 years of service, he retired with Honors as a Master Sergeant. Glenn’s greatest fulfillment outside of family and friends was spending time with the brotherhood and sisterhood as an active member of the Prince Hall Family Fraternal from 1952 to present.
When he wasn't with the brotherhood/sisterhood, he was with his beloved family, predeceased by wife of 60 years, Nina(Langford), daughter Gina Rollins, sisters Joanne (Nash)Rollins, Johnette Rollins. He’s survived by oldest daughter, Glenda Rollins Brown and four grandchildren, Brandon Rollins (Quainna Carter, McDonough GA), Seth Taylor, Preston Brown, Honor Brown and three great grandchildren, Brandon Rollins Jr, Carter Rollins and Wes Taylor. Along with brother, Carl F. Rollins, sisters Debbie Rollins, BettyJean Rollins and Karen Rollins and several nieces, nephews and in-laws who he loved so much, as well as many, many friends.
The family would like to send heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the wonderful doctors and nurses at the US Department of Veterans Affairs and Mount Carmel East Hospital.
