Service of Remembrance

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 10:30 a.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services, 867 S. James Rd., Columbus, OH 43227.

Patricia Joyce Butler-Clayton, 72 died from COPD progression February 17, 2024 at McNaughten Pointe Nursing Facility. She was born in Manhattan, NY on January 26, 1952. Patricia J Butler and Harold JR Clayton, Sr. were married in Washington D.C, where their Wonderful Son Christopher JP Clayton was born.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her brother William Butler. Survived by his wife (Sarah Giddens-Butler). Washington D.C.

Harold (Deceased) and Pattie and Chris moved to Columbus, OH 27 years ago. She and their legacy continued until she got her wings.

Who Our Pattie is

“Everybody knows she was wonderful, and loving.” But…she was my Mother, and also my best friend, and my biggest critic. She would not allow me to be a slacker. She didn’t treat me like I was disabled- she saw the world through my eyes. When not taking care of me, she took care of the neighborhood kids and animals. She made everyone feel important. She never asked for a dime. Nobody knew how much she gave. She’s the strongest person I know. She is missed!

She was predeceased by her husband. Her Parents and her brother. She is survived by: three Biological Children; Christopher JP Clayton, OH, Kyla Butler, & Grand Mother of (Lil’ William) Butler, NC. Tonya Lockhart, South Carolina; Step Mother of four North Carolina & Ohio; Foster Mother of four, Ohio; Foster Grandmother of Many, Lifelong friend of many and a host of Step Grand Children, nieces, nephews and professional friends.
