Family will receive friends Friday December 20, 2024 at 11a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, 428 E. Main Street Columbus, OH 43215. Interment: Evergreen Burial Park.  

Patricia Marie (Lester) Ryan, age 80, passed away on December 13, 2024. Patricia was born on November 8, 1944, in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated from East High School in 1962 and Columbus State Community College (formerly known as Columbus Technical Institute) in 1978 with an Associates Degree in Counseling and Social Work. Patricia was an active member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church until both the pandemic and dementia would no longer allow her to do so. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents Frances (Beard) Palmer, David (Eliza) Lester, and William Palmer, Sr., brother Robert (Butch) Lester, daughter Stephanie Ryan, and granddaughter Alexandrya Farmer. Patricia is survived by her children Robert (Jacqueline) Ryan, Jacquelyn (Leland) Farmer, Rodney (Marleise) Ryan, and Carla (Kevin) Williams. Sister Karen (John) James and brother William (Turea) Palmer, Jr., and a host of nieces, nephews, 11 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. Patricia also leaves life-long friends Marilyn Gravely and the members of the Sigma Iota sorority. Mt. Olivet Baptist Church will host a visitation service on Friday, December 20, 2024 at 11am and the funeral service at 12pm. Interment will follow at Evergreen Burial Park. Services will be handled by White’s Funeral and Cremation Services 867 S. James Road, Columbus, OH.
