Obituary – Paula L. Brockington

Paula L. Brockington, age 66, was born on February 17, 1959, in Columbus, Ohio. She confessed Christ and was baptized at an early age.

Paula was known for possessing strong family values. She was a 1977 graduate of Linden McKinley High School in Columbus, Ohio. She worked 24 years for CDC Head Start as a bus driver and transportation manager. Paula enjoyed life and was good at whatever she put her mind to; singing, making jewelry, quilting, crocheting, playing cards, Bid Whist was her favorite. Paula was the “life of the party” and would keep you laughing with the things she would say.

She was an important part of the community and an extraordinary example of what a true Mother, Sister, Daughter, and Friend should be. In 1988, she met the love of her life ‘Brock’, they were married for 37 years.

Paula Brockington passed peacefully at Riverside Hospital on June 16, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry W. and Nettie Alexander, brothers Jeffrey and Bruce Alexander, and daughter Mia. She is survived by husband William Brockington, Jr., children Tiara Brockington, Erica Brockington, Nichole Brockington, Shane (Sarah) Brockington of Piqua, Ohio, Michelle (William) Taylor of Springfield, Ohio. Siblings Donald (Linda) Alexander, Linda (Tony) Evan, Dathan (Judy) Alexander, stepbrother Brian Martin, step-sister Crystal Martin. 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and their families. She leaves lasting memories with her dear friends, Sheila Logan, Penny Fisher, and Edmond Bell. She leaves her special cousins, Darryl Dennis, Fay Alexander, niece, Francesca (Fran) Pennymon, and Aunt Rita Johnson.
