Priscilla Ann (Jones) Wilson

May 27, 1944 – September 9, 2025

On Tuesday, September 9, 2025, Priscilla Ann Wilson answered the call of the Lord and received her heavenly wings.

Born on May 27, 1944, to Ralph and Anna Lou Jones, Priscilla was also shared a lovingly relationship with her special mother, Ora Jones. She was preceded in death by her parents, special mother, and several beloved siblings and family members.

Priscilla was a devoted and loving mother to her sons, Anthony Wayne Wilson and Samuel Lee Wilson, Jr. She especially cherished her role as “Grandma,” delighting in her grandchildren—James (Sachiko) Goss and Sarai Wilson—and great-grandson Jahser Dixon. She also found immense joy in Elijah, John, Sachiko, and Nehemiah Goss, who were the light of her life.

A proud graduate of East High School, Class of 1962, Priscilla earned the distinction of Valedictorian and fondly remembered her time as a cheerleader at Everett Junior High School—one of her proudest accomplishments.

Her professional journey reflected her strong work ethic, loyalty, and integrity. Priscilla began her career with Columbus City Schools, later joining the Ohio Historical Society as an accountant and payroll manager. She also worked with LifeCare Alliance and ultimately retired after more than 60 years of faithful and dedicated service.

Above all, Priscilla loved the Lord. A devoted member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church for 32 years, she served faithfully on the Usher Board under the pastoral leadership of the late Rev. G. Thomas Turner and Dr. Scottie L. Aaron.

She will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Anthony and Samuel; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, Michael (Linda) Jones; her sister, Michelle Jones (Rick Jackson); brother-in-law, Phillip Harris; and, a wide circle of extended family and, friends. She shared a special bond with Marcella Patterson, Barbara Jean Thornton, Vonnie Horton, and dear friends Barbara Jo Franklin, Liz Evans, and Maudie Evans—relationships that brought her great joy and comfort.

Priscilla was preceded in death by her brothers Ralph (Carolyn) Jones and James Jones; her sister Brenda Harris; maternal grandparents Relus and Willa Mae Evans; her special uncle, Robert Evans; and paternal grandparents Vernon and Helen Marie Jones.

She leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, colleagues, and many dear friends who will forever cherish her memory and miss her loving presence.
