Rachel Allyn Morrison, age 68 was called to be with the Lord Monday April 12, 2021.
She was born in Columbus, Ohio to Clarence and Dorothy Morrison on April 13, 1953. She attended Columbus East High School. Rachel worked at Ohio Bell and Eastside Cleaners, a job she truly loved.
Rachel enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Rachel, her sister, Pamela, cousins, Dawnita, Carlisa, Rose and Martha, were very close and referred to themselves as “The Sisterhood”! The Sisterhood enjoyed family gatherings where they entertained the family with dancing, singing and just enjoying one another’s company. There was never a dull moment in Rachel’s presence. Rachel truly adored her nephew, Cordell, who she referred to as her son. She took pride in being a loving daughter, sister, aunt and great-aunt. Rachel, affectionately known as Auntie Rachel, referred to her great nieces and nephews as her Boom Booms! Rachel was a free spirit, she had an infectious laugh and a smile that would light up any room she entered.
Rachel is proceeded in death by both parents, Clarence and Dorothy Morrison, brother Ray Morrison, sister Pamela Morrison, members of “The Sisterhood”, Dawnita Harris, and Carlisa Johnson. She leaves to cherish her loving memory, brother Ronald Morrison, nephew, Cordell Morrison, her Boom Booms”, remaining members of “The Sisterhood”, Rose Law and Martha Trupin, as well as a host of family and friends.
