Rhonda Lavern Reed was born March 9, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio. She received her formal education from Columbus City Schools and was a proud graduate of East High School class of 1967, and later went on to receive her associate’s degree from Columbus State Community College. Rhonda was employed with Maryhaven where she retired after 20 plus years of dedicated service. Rhonda was a longtime member of Mt. Vernon Avenue AME Church where she served on both the Senior Usher Board and Culinary Staff.

Blessed with seventy-five years of life, our beloved Rhonda Laverne Reed entered eternal rest and received her wings on Saturday morning, June 22, 2024, at her residence in Columbus, Ohio. Rhonda was preceded in death by her father Robert A. Reed Sr. and Mother Dorothy E. Reed, brother James K. Reed and Niece Marrisa Beard, grandparents John H. Spriggs and Eliza E. Spriggs.

Leaving to cherish her loving memories are her daughter Sabrina J. Bonner (Galvin Bonner III), six grandchildren; LaTausha Bonner (Billdee Clark), Galvin Bonner IV, Jalen Bonner, Giovaughni Bonner, Iyauna Bonner and Le’Curtis Bonner. Six great-grand kids; Kamiah Williams, Jaziah Davis, Nathaniel Woods, Galvin Bonner V, X’Savaughn Clark and Brennen Clark, brother Robert A. Reed (MaryJo), sister Jacqueline K. Reed, nieces Shelli S. Elliott (KishaLynn), Kelli K. Elliott (SaBrina) and Jessica R. Reed, great nephew Simeon Elliott, close friends Faye Butler, Cheryl Robertson, Janet Wyndham, Lynn Raspberry, Clara Bonner and Sandy Fletcher and a host of other friends and family.
