Ricky D. Bass

Ricky Bass was born March 12,1957 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was employed by Yellow Cab for many years. He made his living as an entrepreneur, always in business for himself buying and selling antique items. He never met a stranger.

Ricky will be missed for his gigantic personality. He had the gift of gab and was a funny fast talker who shared laughter among all who encountered him. Ricky was a giving soul with a big heart. He loved to debate and he would argue his points until the end of time.

Ricky was a humble, fun, and giving man! He loved his boat, to travel, meet people, eat good food, cigars, and swim. The small things made Ricky happy and content. He was a man who desired love from his family and had many relationships with all who knew him.

Ricky is preceded in death by his father Paul Bass, his great-grandparents Rev. Hiram and Eva Maddox, his grandparents Louie and Helen Bass, his brother Herman (Toddy) Bass and his sister Sandra. 

He leaves to mourn, his mother Roylene Sharp of Cleveland, Ohio; five children Julian Beverly, Chris Knott of Cleveland, Ohio, Nathan Yiseral of Cincinnati, Ohio, Desiree’ Marbury of Chattanooga, Tennessee and  Kenya Pryor of Columbus, Ohio; eleven grandchildren Samiyyah, Sameenah, and Aliyah Salem, Zariya Beverly, Ezra Yisrael, Zsamereia and Jurnee Marbury, Jermereius Green, Kendra, Kayla and Keligh Knott; his sisters Sara, Jean-Paul, Barbara Bass; and cousins and special loved ones, Gloria "Lady" Brown, Rev. Cecelia "CeCe" Williams, Lenell Gray, Randy Brown, Angela Perryman, Tina A. Brown, Sherry Cromwell and Diane, and a host of friends and family.
