Ronald Lloyd Cornelius – was born January 28, 1938, in Atlantic City, New Jersey to the late Warren Calvin Cornelius and Pauline (Robinson) Cornelius. Ronald was the second youngest of 4 children and graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1956. After graduating High School, he left home to attend The Ohio State University, in which he graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics in 1965. It was during this time, he became the proud member of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity. He then moved forward to work at Battelle Memorial Institute and Ross Laboratories, in which he continued his education and eventually graduated with his Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University in Business Management. He then went on to start his own business, American Information Systems, Inc., in which he served as President/CEO for the next 20 years. He also served as an Adjunct Professor for Columbus State Community College teaching Programming Skills until his official retirement in 2005. He continued to be a pillar in his community by being an active volunteer in numerous National, State and Local organizations throughout Columbus.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Warren Calvin Cornelius and Pauline (Robinson) Cornelius; Sisters, Shirley Stewart and Cynthia Birts. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara (Logan) Cornelius and his sister, Vera Dennis. His children - Warren Calvin Cornelius II (Natasha), Teri Pace, Leah Peoples, and Ryan Peoples (Ann). Grandchildren - Alicia Walker, Tori Walker, Lance Pace (Roget), Logan Peoples, Alana Cornelius, Nevaeh Cornelius, Naia Oyler, Natalia Lopes, Ronald Lloyd Cornelius II, and Anna Cornelius; Great Grand Children - Treaston Burnett, Trevon Thompson, Asha Chever, Ayanna Chever, Trinity Person, Brooklynne Rose Pace, Ja’Shawn Jones, and finally Nieces Robin Dennis and Michelle Birts.
Ronald was a loving Son, Brother, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Uncle, and Cousin. He was a Phenomenal Mentor, Teacher, Tutor, and as loyal as a friend you would ever find. A man of substance whose sole purpose was his family. He will be greatly missed.
