Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services, 867 S. James Road, Columbus, OH 43227. Interment: Evergreen Burial Park. 

 

It is with deep sorrow and much love we mourn the unexpected passing of Ronald Wayne Ray on March 11, 2025. Ronnie was born to Robert Sr. and Martha E Ray, July 22, 1948. 

After proudly graduating from Linden McKinley high school, he worked a variety of jobs . 

Ronnie married Betty Battle, and they had one son, Wayne, who lovingly took care of Ron until his passing .

Ronnie, also known as “Jock” really enjoyed listening to good music, driving, nice cars, and being around family. He was a serious bid whist player, had a contagious laugh and always spoke his mind.

Ronnie faced life’s challenges with strength and determination, leaving a lasting impact on all that met him.

Ronnie is proceeded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. And Martha Ray, wife Betty Ray, sister Barbara J. Ray, brothers Robert “Pig” Ray, Harrison M. Ray and grandson Je’Ron Ray. 

He leaves to celebrate his life, devoted son, Wayne Ray, bonus daughter Katrina Battle, sisters, Yvonne Lovingood, and Marsha Taylor, sister-in-law, Shermaine Ray, Aunts Mary Elizabeth Porras, Phyllis Vaughn, Betty Howard; Uncle Howard Truss, grandchildren, Wayne Ray Jr., Cieanna Ray, KenDray Ray, Te’Shawn Ray, Te’Asia Ray, Khanymi Ray, great grandchildren A’raya Stumile-Ray, Rayshonn Ray, Mariah Ray, as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ron’s presence is greatly missed, his memory truly is treasured.
