Family will receive friends Wednesday March 12, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 p.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services. Interment: Evergreen Burial Park. 

On Saturday, March 1, 2025 in the presence of her family, Rosa Nell Prunty went to her rest at the age of 93. She was born on March 29, 1931 in Brundige, Alabama to Flossie Freeman Comer and John Henry Comer. She attended Tazwell County High School in Virginia. On February 19, 1953 she married James Henry Prunty. They raised 4 children. Jonathan Prunty,  Darrell Prunty, Glenn Prunty, and Timothy Prunty. Rosa loved to work with her hands. She was known for her cooking and baking. She loved planting flowers and growing vegetables in her garden. But most of all she loved her family. She was a faithful member of New Life Apostolic Church for many years. Rosa was proceeded in death by her parents, Flossie Freeman Comer and John Henry Comer, son, Johnathan Prunty, husband, James Henry Prunty, sisters, Verna Belcher Morris and Mary Belcher, brother, Roy Kelly Jr., brother-in-law, Herbert Prunty. She leaves to cherish her memory, sons Darrell Prunty, Glenn/Patricia Prunty, Timothy Prunty, sister, Eloise/Marvin Crooks, brother, Walcho/ Debbie Comer,  brother-in- law, Robert Prunty, 2 grandchildren, Felicia Fouche and James Prunty, 2 great grandchildren, Lanai Fouche and Josiah Garcia and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
