Family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. on Monday December 23, 2024 at the chapel of Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 5600 E. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43213. Interment: Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Saundra Kay (Henderson) Almond was born on June 10, 1948, to John and Jessie Henderson in Columbus, Ohio, and departed this life on December 16, 2024, at her residence. She was a proud 1966 graduate of Linden McKinley High School in Columbus and spent her career dedicated to helping others through her work at Union Grove Baptist Church and later Franklin County CSEA, from which she retired. Saundra was preceded in death by her parents, John and Jessie Henderson; her sister, Gayle Davis; and her brother-in-law, Curtis Wright. 

 She is survived by her loving sons, Alfred Almond Jr. and Anthony (Amanda) Almond; her cherished grandchildren, Alexa (Alex) Jones, Cydney Almond, Sophia Parsons, and Kallie Almond; her sister, Krystal Wright; her brother, Jon (Hollis) Henderson; and a host of beloved friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

 Saundra will be remembered for her kind heart, strong spirit, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her memory will forever be a blessing to those who knew and loved her.
