In Loving Memory of Sharron Irene Smith

Sharron Irene Smith, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt departed this life on August 20, 2024, at the age of 78. Born on July 21, 1946, in Columbus, Ohio, Sharron was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Irene Zellner.

Sharron was married for nearly 59 years to the love of her life, her devoted husband Ralph Smith. She was the beloved mother of four children: Rena (Leonard) Roundtree, Rodney, Wayne, and Duane (Talitha) Smith. Sharron was also a grandmother of seven grandchildren: Tianna Roundtree, Kiarra (Traci) Allen, Jorel Roundtree, Javan Roundtree, Dontae Jackson, Rocko Smith and Stone Smith and a great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren: Jeremy Watkins, Kimora Watkins, and Miles Allen. She was also a beloved aunt to Jayson Sturges and Tisha Zellner.

Sharron is survived by her four sisters: Erma Zellner, Robbiegene (Robert) Sturges, Lilian, and Audrey Zellner and brother Chris Zellner. She was preceded in death by brother Robert Zellner, Jr, and sister Cheryl Lee Davis.

She also leaves behind a host of loving cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews who will deeply miss her presence and her kind, compassionate spirit.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the Mount Carmel East Hospital emergency room and ICU staff for their compassionate care during Sharron’s final days.

Sharron’s kindness and caring spirit will be dearly missed by her family. Though she is no longer with us, her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all.
