Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 11 at 10:30 a.m. until time of Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at White's Funeral and Cremation Services, 867 S. James Road, Columbus, OH 43227.

Sherryl Diane Brock West was born October 26, 1949, in Rome, Georgia to the late Lillie Lou Brock Cunningham. Sherryl, who was known as ‘Cheryl pearl or pretty pearl’ to her close family and friends, moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1952 with her mother, sister Blanch Millsap, and uncle Jesse Brock. Sherryl was the eldest of Lillie’s 7 children.

Upon relocating to Ohio, Sherryl attended Columbus City Schools, and graduated from East high school. After graduating, Sherryl joined the work force where she dedicated many years, and eventually retired from the Ohio department of youth services. She had a wonderful and eventful life, she enjoyed camping, fishing, family gatherings, and a nice juicy steak. While she was home relaxing, she would indulge in a jar of peanuts or a bag of jellybeans while watching one of her favorite shows.

Sherryl met the love of her life Rosevelt Smith, and they enjoyed a lifelong relationship until his earthly departure in 2018. Sherryl was fortunate to have one daughter, Lillie Brock (Troy), two grandchildren, Lajuan and Juanika Brock. She also loved and enjoyed her fur babies Sheba, Tank, Precious, and Zoey.

 During the last few months, Sherryl received great care at the Embassy of Woodview, where she developed a close relationship with one of her aides, Brionna who stayed by her side until Saturday, May 4, 2024 when she gained her heavenly wings. She was surrounded with love and care during her last days from her beloved sister, JoEllen, her brothers, her God daughter Abathia” Abby”, and her one and only daughter Ellena.

Sherryl was preceded in death by, Mother; Lillie (Richard) Cunningham, partner: Rosevelt Smith, Siblings; Blanch Milsap, Bernice Crawford, Eugene, Milton, Emanuel, Jimmy, Rebecca, Emma Jean, Phyllis Cunningham, and Gertrude Cunningham.

She will be greatly missed by all who loved her and her life will forever be cherished in the lives of her daughter; Lillie(Troy) Brock, Grand-daughter; Juanika Brock, Grandson; Lajuan Brock, God daughter: Abathia(Darrell)Teage, Sisters; JoEllen Cunningham, Gloria Faye (Frazier) Hopkins, and Elneata (Eric) Beckley. Brothers; Roy (Patricia) Dean, Richard (Yvonne) Cunningham, Herman Cunningham, and Bernard (Donna) Cunningham. Along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, great grand-children, and friends.
