Shirley Ann Burbridge departed this life on January 30, 2026.  Shirley Ann Burbridge transitioned to her place of eternal rest on January 30, 2026, at home surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley was born on February 6, 1936, in Columbus, Ohio, to Charles and Ada Elder. She was a proud graduate of Columbus East High School and was employed at Western Electric.

Shirley was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church, later joining the membership of New Salem Missionary Baptist Church on March 3, 1985, with her husband Albert Burbridge Sr., joining April 7, 1985. She loved being a member of the Nurses Corp, Voices of New Salem Mass Choir, the Women of Power Ministry, and The Survivors Care Group (The Golden Girls). She shared her love for Jesus, which created a Christian foundation for her family.

Her love for her husband, family and community was extraordinary. She was known for putting others before herself. She had a profound impact on all who knew her and the door at 433 was always open where no one was left with an empty stomach! She prepared a full course meal seven days a week, with her warm delicious homemade rolls. She went home to join her loving husband and family a week before her 90th birthday. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Sr.; parents Charles and Ada; sons Albert Jr., and Richard Sr.; daughters Debra and Cathy; brothers Donald, Robert, Richard, Regis, Thomas and Carl; brothers-in-law Simon, Butch, and Richard; and her sister Patricia.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories, children; Brenda (Keith), Vicky (Arliss), Toninetta (Thomas), Robert (Lolita), Quincy, Stacy (Carl), Stephanie and Kelley (Lee); brother Maurice (Patricia); sisters Betty, Kathryn (James), sisters-in-law Laverna and Faye, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
