Shirley Ann Haynes passed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on December 24, 2020 at the age of 91 blessed years.
Born of two children to Vivian Brown and Robert Goins on February 11, 1929 in Columbus, Ohio.
On November 21, 1944 she was joined in holy matrimony to Charles H. Haynes, Sr. From this union five children were born Charles Jr., Van, Cortez, Cortland and Conrad Haynes.
Mom gave her life to the Lord at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church under the Pastorate of the late Dr. H. Beecher Hicks, Sr. Mom served the church for many years and always shared the love of God with all that was fortunate to have met this Godly woman. Mom would always tell and remind you that “God loves you”. Mom’s faith never waivered as she struggled with her health for many years.
Mom was a beautiful strong woman, not only physically but she was the most kind, giving and compassionate lady we have ever known. Mom instilled so many good qualities into not only all of her children and grandchildren, but into her friends and even strangers that knew her or just met her along the way.
Mom labored and retired from Big Bear after 30 years of service as a cashier and office manager.
Mom is preceded in death by her parents Vivian Brown and Robert Goins; husband Charles H. Haynes, Sr.; mother-in-law Blanche A. Haynes; father-in-law John W. Haynes, Sr.; brother Robert Brown; sons Cortland A. Haynes, Sr. and Van Leroy Haynes.
She leaves to cherish her memory her three children Charles (Linda) H. Haynes, Jr., Cortez (Belinda) B. Haynes, Sr. and Conrad (Teresa) Haynes; eleven grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren and a host of friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.
