A Memorial Service for Stefin Kay Edmondson-Mullins will take place on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope City House of Prayer, 3330 El Paso Drive, Columbus, OH 43204. Following the service, a repast will take place at 2:00 pm. Details for the repast will be provided separately.


Stefin Kay Mullins, 57, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away on December 27th, 2023, at Ohio State University East Medical Center. She was born on March 28th, 1966, in Columbus, Ohio, to Alonzo and Gloria (Long) Edmondson. She retired from Honda Manufacturing Plant and finished her education with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.


Stefin was a cherished presence in the lives of all who knew her. Renowned for her selflessness, infectious laughter, and unwavering smile, she brightened every room she entered. Truly the life of every party, her spirit, love, kindness, silliness, wisdom, and heart of gold will be deeply missed.


She found immense joy in cooking, spending time with her friends and family, talking on the phone for hours or just to call someone and say, “I’m just checking on you!” She loved her beloved daughter, and her cherished granddaughters and enjoyed all moments spent with them.


She joins her grandparents Andrew and Olivia Long, parents Alonzo and Gloria Edmondson, siblings Dale Long, Sylvia Edmondson, James Edmondson, uncles Duggie Long, Wylie Long, Albert Long, great nephew Sevon Ochieng, and best friend Val Knight.


She is survived by her siblings Sandra Judy Coleman, Sheila Cunningham, her daughter Cortland Joy Mullins, granddaughters London Skye Banks and Zoey Unique Kae Banks, Aunt Joyce Long, nieces Tish (Fudge) Reed, Jamia (JJ) Johnson, Millicent Berry, Sheila Cunningham, Lagresha Shelton, great-nieces Millicent Edmondson-Terry, Haseena Chapman, Zahrah Chapman, and great-nephews Dominique Brown, Austin Martin, Shane Cunningham, along with cherished friends Antonio 'Tony' Powell, Alice Hogan, Kathy Cumberland, Nikki Wright, Duane Mullins, Rodney Person, Derrick Mayo, Keita Carr, Lisa Smith, Lisha Boyd and Tracy Howard. She also leaves behind a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
