Tanknai Houpe

Tanknai Houpe,19, departed this life October 20, 2021. Family will receive friends Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at White's Funeral Home Chapel. Service will be livestreamed. 

Tanknai Ahmar Houpe was born June 13, 2002, in Columbus Ohio to Cherlise M. Houpé and Tiant L. Battle.

Tanknai affectionately called son-son, Cocki Roach, Tank, Niner, and a few more. He attended Columbus Public Schools and recently attended Youth Build. He was employed with MS Companies.

Tanknai was so excited about the birth of his daughter TanaiyaQueen Marie Davis due in December. He loved life, family, friends and his game system. He loved to play a good basketball game, on the court or on his game system. He had a smile that would light up a room, and he touched so many people’s hearts.

He leaves to cherish his memories Mother, Cherlise Houpé, Father: Tiant Battle, sisters: Demetriona Houpé and Tiann Tillman, grandparents: Jacqueline Houpé and Bernard Williams, aunts: Tiona Houpé, Meko Hunt, Tomika Battle and Tijunia Howie: mother of his child Jamayca Davis, bonus sister: LaNiece Brittani Pierce, bonus brother: Tony Robinson, Jr., special friends: Ryan and David Sparks, Najae Daniels, Marquise Goodgame, LaMichael Palmer and Jerris Hayes: a host of extended family and friends.
