Terina Capers Obituary

Family will receive friends on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. at White's Chapel.

Terina Delvino Capers was born July 14, 1966 in Columbus, Ohio to Marion Capers and Jennie Ann Pack. On Friday, May 20, 2022 at Mt Carmel, St Ann’s Hospital, Terina departed this life at the age of 55.

Terina was known to some as “Lady T” and “Terina Bean”. She was a miracle baby. For the first 6 months of her life, she was in the hospital because she was born prematurely. The doctors told her that she would not live past the age of 15. She was very strong and had a great desire to live.

Terina loved her parents very much and took much of her life to help care for them. She was very close with her siblings and adored her niece and nephew. She cared so much for her family that she helped raise multiple generations of her cousins. She took after her mother in that regard. She may not have had any living children of her own, but she took to her younger cousins as her own children. She gave them her life experiences and showed them understanding. She was a wealth of knowledge not to mention she enjoyed a good joke. She had the best laugh, and it was unmatched. She would help anyone and give them the shirt off of her back. Terina loved to go dancing and dress up with her favorite pair of heels. She had a huge shoe collection and took pride in her fashion. She was always looking sharp.

She was a life-long friend to many and kept up with everyone. If you did not call her, she would call and check up on you. She had a beautiful spirit about her and would cheer you up when you were down. Despite her health issues, she kept a positive attitude and continued to be the light of our family. She enjoyed her soap operas and never missed one! She even watched them on demand. She always kept up with current events and life was never dull with her around.

Terina was predeceased in death by her parents, sister Thelma Jeanette Turns, grandparents Lillie Bell Capers, William Richard Pack Sr and Beatrice Pack, great grandmothers Rose Stearn and Jennie Ann Pack, uncles Ernest Capers, Richard Pack, Carl Pack, and Tyrone Pack Sr and aunts Loretta Pack, Anna Perkins and Pauline Kirk, and baby Cory Evans Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories brother Marlon Capers, nephew Sir Quan (Senequa) Allen, niece Meliyah Capers, uncles William (Hannah) Pack, William Richard Pack Jr, Melvin Pack, Charlie Pack, aunts Thelma Ervin, Leona Hartgrove, Bernice Pack, Rosetta Cousar, and Glenda (Tyrone) Steele, great nieces Brooklyn Allen, Harlem Allen and nephew Bronx Allen.
