Tony Dale Lathon, of Columbus, Ohio departed this Earth to seek eternal rest with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 12th, 2020 at the age of 64.

Tony was born on May 19th, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio. He grew up as the oldest of 3 siblings, 2 first cousins and was raised by his Uncle Harry Lathon and Aunt Verna Mae Lathon (née Bryant). He attended Central High School and was a member of Lee Ave United Methodist Church.

In January of 2001 he married Iretta Lathon (née White) after being together for over 20 years up to that point. Prior to his passing Iretta and Tony’s loving relationship spanned 4 decades and as each year passed their bond grew stronger and stronger.  Together they enjoyed attending church, watching Ohio State football, and family gatherings.

Tony never met a stranger and had a way of befriending just about everyone he met.  Tony enjoyed photography and sharing memories of time spent with family and friends.  The highlight of any family gathering was when Tony broke out the pictures and took us all down memory lane reminding us of the good times, we all spent together.

Tony is preceded in death by his Grandfather Gervie Lathon, his Mother Norma Jean Price, and His Aunt and Uncle Harry and Verna Mae Lathon. He is survived by his wife Iretta Lathon, his 5 sons, Jeffrey Watters, Kevin (Danielle) White, Tony (Felicia) Reese, Robert (Peggy) Lathon, Shaun White, his sisters Diane Lathon and Mildred Lathon, and his cousins Mary Lathon and LaTanya Lathon.  He also is survived by 8 grandchildren.  Additionally, he has many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.  All of whom he had a special relationship with.
