Troy Len Weind

December 3, 1961 – May 8, 2026

Troy Len Weind, age 64, passed away on May 8, 2026, in Columbus, Ohio.

Born on December 3, 1961, Troy lived a life filled with laughter, kindness, and love for others. He was known for his infectious smile, and to some known as "Mr. Smiles". Coupled with his polite attitude, and wonderful sense of humor he could brighten any room. Troy truly loved life and enjoyed bringing joy to those around him.

Troy is a proud graduate of East High School, class of 1979, and a graduate of University of Cincinnati in Communications. He spent many years working as a Bellman at various major hotels, where he took pride in his work and formed countless connections with guests and coworkers alike. His warm personality and welcoming spirit made a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He enjoyed swimming, watching action movies, following sports, listening to old-school hip-hop music, and attending concerts. Troy was also a true foodie who especially loved salmon and cheesecake for dessert.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Weind, his mother, Seeran O. Schoolfield, and Niece Xyanna Fraley.

Troy leaves to cherish his memory, brother Lon C. Weind; Twin Sister Troia L. (Weind) Braxton (Craig E. Braxton), and his sister Shareece D. Loyel; Nieces Adrianne B. Thomas (Samuel Thomas), Carla E. Braxton, Ashley N. Braxton, Savarius Fraley; Nephew Cairo Fraley; Great Niece Adjerai Braxton-Wilson; Great Nephews Cevion E. Braxton, Roy Hogan III, and Tyrell Madison and a host of numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Though he will be deeply missed, Troy’s laughter, kindness, and joyful spirit will forever remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who knew him.
