Velton W. Carter

Family will receive friends Saturday April 11, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at North Central Village, 2200 Foundation Dr. Columbus, OH 43219. 

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loved one.

Velton had a sense of humor that caused others to want to be around him. Velton loved fishing, music and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Velton was preceded in death by his mother Frances M. Vaughn, father Leroy Foster, brothers Gregory B. Carter, Brent Lloyd and grandparents.

He is survived by his daughter Shalisa V. Carter, Grandchildren Anilah Ferguson and Rodrick Ferguson, Sister Ronda J. Carter, aunt Phyllis M. Brok, devoted partner Linda Moore, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

His love, wisdom and memory will last a lifetime for his daughter and loved ones.

A Celebration of Life for Velton will be held at a later date in April.
