Vina Rivers

Calling Hours (only 10 at a time), Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. at White's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will not be present during calling hours and masks are required. Private Family Service (50 maximum) at 11:15 a.m. Interment Evergreen Burial Park. The family will receive flowers at the funeral home.

Vina L. Rivers, Age 80 passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 25th, 2020. She was born on December 25, 1939 to the late Summer & Evergreen Sillmon in Talladega, Alabama.

She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casino. Vina was a caring, loving and supportive wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother also known as "GG". She enjoyed her family and friends to the fullest. Vina had a quiet strength, never complained and always had a smile on her face even through the tough times. She will truly be missed but remembered by the love and memories that she left behind.

She is preceded in death by her husband (Rudolph Rivers), grandson (Michael Chatman), three sisters and four brothers.

She is survived by her brother (Willie Brown Sillmon), her children Randy (Chelleye) Rivers, Joyce Rivers, Charles (Dorothy) Rivers, Michael (Sonia) Rivers, Jerome Rivers. Vina had 12 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and a host of nieces & nephews.
