Yvonne Denton

Yvonne Denton, Age 68, passed December 21, 2021. Family will receive friends on Friday, January 14, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. at White's Chapel. The service will be livestreamed.

Yvonne Denton was born to Ovetus Jones and George Jones on February 9, 1953, in Mobile Alabama. Yvonne departed this life on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in Augusta, Georgia.

Yvonne grew up in Chicago Illinois where she met her lifetime partner and husband, William Denton, in 1971. She had 4 children and spent her time taking care of her family and helping many people along the way. She then relocated to Columbus, Ohio in 1986, where she worked at both Park Medical Center and Mt. Carmel Hospital.

For those who knew her, Yvonne was a matriarch to the family. Her true passion in life was cooking and celebrating with her family and friends. There was no celebration too small for her to bring her family together. The big holidays were her favorite! Yvonne always had an amazingly bountiful menu and the house was always full of laughs, love and standing room only.

Yvonne was preceded in death by mother Ovetus Kelsor, father, George Jones and son William Laroyce Denton.

She leaves to cherish her memory, husband William Denton, siblings, Janet Bonner, Pamela Kelsor and Gregory Kelsor. Children Ontario Jones, Myron Denton, Anthony Jones and Jermaine Jones. A host of additional grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
